The Aransas Project is pleased to announce that two more prominent organizations with dedicated constituencies have joined TAP as member organizations.
The Aransas County Republican Party has joined TAP. Betty Stiles, Chairman of the Aransas County Republican Party explains, “Without the tourists, without the ability to fish, we would just shrivel up and die.” Stiles, who is also a longtime fisherman featured in the the TAP video, continues, ” Anybody that’s working to keep that from happening has my vote and I will tell anybody and everybody who will listen to me to support it.”
The Houston Audubon Society, an 11-county chapter of the National Audubon Society, voted this week to join The Aransas Project. The Houston Audubon Society’s mission is to promote the conservation and appreciation of birds and wildlife habitat. The Houston Audubon Society has been a key supporter of the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and the Whooping Crane Habitat Protection Project, and their work has benefitted the entire Aransas ecosystem.
