TAP is thrilled to announce two new member organizations: Travis Audubon and the Whooping Crane Conservation Association.
Travis Audubon voted to join TAP this week. The vision of Travis Audubon is to “inspire conservation through birding”. As stated on their website, Travis Audubon believes that “Bird studies help us advance scientifically. They teach us about climate and the environment. Birds are also key to indicating environmental changes. Large, rapid declines in bird populations can alert us to an environmental problem that needs immediate attention.”
The Whooping Crane Conservation Association was incorporated in 1966 and was the first private group with the mission of restoration of the whooping crane and its habitats. The trustees of WCCA approved a motion to join The Aransas Project as a member organization this week. We are extremely proud to have such a historic organization onboard.
